Do you really need marketing?

You might be located in the most popular location and have good walkins or you might be enjoying a monopoly with your unique product or service but a real business can be called successful if it has a system that never stops to scale. An active marketing strategy is a core function of that system.

Am I a business coach?

No, we are functional experts. Every business has 7 basic functions if not more, including finance management, human resource management, sale management, operations, research and development. One of these core functions is marketing management and as you have financial assistance or in most cases you chartered accountant we are your marketing assistance or an agency that plans and gets marketing activities done on your behalf.

Are we experts in your industry?

No, we are not industry experts, for marketing a particular product or a service you need not have a in depth study of a product or a service. Like your production process or other nitigrities. That you should know as a brand owner. We are experts of one of the core business functions which is marketing. We use our experience and expertise in this core function & with proper tools help you get the most efficient results.

The simple answer is, it will grow your sales to new heights – the ones you probably never imagined. And as a result of all this, your sales will continue to go up year-on-year.

So do you help in conversions, too?

My role is all about getting you maximum leads and developing a marketing strategy wherein you always have a line of customers waiting for your product or service. Marketing isn’t directly related to sales but sales can’t grow without marketing. For instance, a cricketer may be a great batsman but to be a star performer on the field, he also needs to focus on his fitness levels. It may have nothing to do with his ability to bat and score, but without good fitness, he won’t be able to sustain in the long run. The same goes with your marketing. To ensure your business is risk-free and secure, my job is to continue generating leads through my ideas and executions. The final conversion can happen only when all your other aspects are aligned with the marketing activities.

Why shouldn't I opt for my consultation?

Marketing is for everyone, but marketing consultation may not work for every business. If you don’t look at your business or venture as a profession, this may not work for you. Plus, if you have a side business or a source of passive income, consultation won’t help. Marketing consultation and support is specifically for those who look at their business as a profession and aspire to achieve phenomenal professional growth. A marketing coach isn’t a magician, he’s just a strong support to your business to ensure agility, flexibility, and stability in the long run.

What industries have you worked with before?

As a business, you’d want to work with a consultant that understands your industry and already has an insight into what works to reach customers in your vertical. It’s also important for you to check that I have worked with businesses of your size previously. Marketing a large corporation is different from marketing a small business, and those differences are reflected in both, strategies and budget. I have a vast experience in managing small and medium-sized businesses in industries like Fintech startups, Lifestyle coach, Speciality Doctors, Luxury (Jewellery, Perfume), Grooming Services, Re-Commerce, Consumer products retail, Lifestyle fashion accessories, Restaurant Franchisees, Online Services (Food), Education, and more. That being said, I can work in any new industry, backed by my passion to learn, explore, and grow with you!

Do you specialize in reaching out to a specific audience?

Understanding your target market is the key to creating successful promotions. If your consultant is unfamiliar with the behaviour and values of your audience, they are less likely to use marketing strategies that will be successful at reaching and persuading the consumers you want to convert into customers. I have an experience of handling 45+ brands in a variety of sectors but saying so, it is not possible to be a master of all audience sizes and types. I will understand your industry-specific requirements and mutually conclude if I can do justice to your brand’s growth.

What specific planning do you need from the client’s end before you begin work?

The first and foremost prerequisite is the willingness to accept marketing as your core responsibility as a brand owner. I can be a guide that gives you effective and efficient methods to develop a mindset required for entrepreneurship. Apart from that, you may need to provide a variety of concrete information, such as inventory analysis or certain market research. It’s better when you share the experiences and expertise you have developed over the years with me. This way, we can together work towards achieving our marketing goals.

How is client collaboration and communication handled at Big Mouth?

As a policy, we have a dedicated professional who can reach out to all times and will communicate all the work clearly with you from time to time. We also make sure that you know who your day-to-day point of contact person is, as well as who is in charge of your account or where to take big-picture concerns. We shall continually be involved in different departments, coordinating your requirements on both, email and phone. To keep it easy, we usually create a WhatsApp group of all involved members from Big Mouth, vendors and the brand.

What are your reporting practices?

I set clear expectations on how often you will receive reports and what information they will contain. Though that is one of Big Mouth’s weaker links, as generally, our work speaks for itself. But it’s also a smart excuse we make. In some cases, reporting will depend on the type of marketing objective we are focusing on. If I have to analyse a marketing plan, then I may report back to you at the end of the activity. But if we are doing a digital campaign for the brand, I will report regularly and frequently.

What key performance indicators do you focus on when it comes to client work?

If you are spending the time and money to work with an outside firm like us, you want to see results. The best part of Big Mouth is that we don’t just consult on what is to be done but get the stuff done on your behalf. We also establish from the beginning how those results will be measured and analysed, as well as what outcomes you can expect. For instance, we are setting an objective to increase the audience reach through social media, we will then set a goal and make sure we fulfil it within the stipulated timeline. We take responsibility on the brand’s behalf to collect all reports and measurements for it.

If you could map out the first three months of working with Big Mouth, what would that look like?

You would want a consultant that has an idea and direction of where to begin that fits with your overall business model and expectations; and in most cases, I would. In the first month, I analyse the existing assets, brand objectives that we need to achieve and then, plan an effective strategy for the same. This can be parallel to the activities to build a digital presence and other marketing-mix goals like product packaging audit. Unlike a regular consultation, I help in implementation and that is the key and secret to my successful association with all global brands.
